The ELC Programme set out to help health and care systems to understand what matters to people and families.
We are continuing this work through two programmes:
A person centred outcome measure, The Life Improver Score can be used to generate continuous feedback about what matters to people. The metric is used by clinicians in their routine consultations and supports people to reflect on what matters and set personal goals. The qualitative data recorded by clinicians and progress people make towards their personal goals is quantified and both qualitative and quantitative datasets are extracted from records and analysed to support person centred improvement.
Experience Led Commissioning is a tried and tested approach to working with people and communities to co design person centred commissioning strategies and transformation plans. It was through our ELC commissioning work that we identified the need for group consultations and the Life Improver Score.
